Born in a small East German village on the Czech border, Ulli Richter first focused on architecture and travel photography, which were both well within the restraints of a communist society. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 he was free to leave for foreign shores and look for new photographic and personal challenges.

After moving to London in 1995, Ulli has worked as a successful commercial lifestyle and advertising photographer. His labour of love, however, is photographing the world of the international fetish scene and gay/leather scene in particular. His photographs are part of various private collections around the world, he has also produced iconic advertising campaigns for RoB London Ltd as well as SPEXTER Munich.
