We have all heard that chocolate is better than sex and our hot fudge cake comes pretty close to that.
They say we no longer make cakes like we used to. That our lives are too hectic to take the time to mix and bake. True though this may sound, we have taken the time to find people who do just that.
Coffee, Cake & Kink cakes are different as they are hand-made to order by individual people. They are lovingly made the traditional way, with the weighting, sifting and beating, the heavenly smell of eggs, butter and sugar.
Some of our cakes are dairy-free and are suitable for vegetarians. Ingredients of some others include “love”. We freeze to preserve rather than buy long-life ones.
Right now, we are on a hunt for vegan/wheat-free yummies so please let us know if you happen to know some.
In the summer, we blend our ice cream with fruit, milk and spices for the ultimate in smooties, cool and indulgent. Try our strawberry meringue, a jumbo smoothie/dessert (size matters, sometimes).

The Great Taste Awards, the “Oscar’s” of the fine food world. It’s there that we find best cakes around the country and best cakes in town.
They are the world’s most prestigious awards for the exceptional standard of food and drink. Over the last decade, they have carved a reputation as the highest acknowledgement of craftsmanship and the single most sought after seal of quality.
Over 150 judges are involved in the judging of 178 different classes of foods. Every entry is decanted, where necessary cooked and then blind tasted by teams of experts.
The initial stages of regional judging take place in July at the Speciality & Fine Food Fairs, Edinburgh and Harrogate, followed by eight days of judging in London. The second stage takes place a few weeks later to identify the major trophy winners of Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards and finally, the Great Taste Awards Supreme Champion.
The winners of the major trophies remain a closely guarded secret until the glittering Awards dinner at Olympia in September. All winners are announced and showcased exclusively at the Speciality and Fine Food Fair at Olympia, London.
At any given time, approximately half of Coffee, Cake & Kink’s cakes are winners of The Great Taste Awards. The other half could easily win next time round.
